Description
Is there anything more entrancing than rural star-gazing on a clear night? This series captures favorite constellations in sparkling formation to shine every evening. They’re even more glorious in the day, as the prismatic Egyptian Asfour crystal catches sunlight to cast dancing rainbows, reminiscent of the spectral analyses that identify characteristics of stars.
The constellations shine on a backdrop of delicate gunmetal plate chain that hugs your skin and are composed of light-catching crackle glass and Asfour crystal. Brighter, lower magnitude stars are represented as crystal, while dimmer, higher magnitude stars in the constellation are represented by crackle glass. These necklaces are meant to be worn close to the base of the neck and are adjustable in length to fit accordingly. A stunning star-swept backdrop of crackle glass and Asfour crystal provides the adjustability seamlessly and elegantly.
Cassiopeia
Not just a study in the remarkable power of pareidolia, the constellation of Cassiopeia covers a lot of interesting space. A section of the Milky Way runs through the constellation, filling it with fascinating nebulae, supernova remnants, open clusters, baby stars, and other delightful bits and bobs from our home galaxy. It’s also home to a runaway star (for real – google it) and the only starburst galaxy in the local group.
