Description
A truly one-of-a-kind necklace inspired by the incredible Canadian west coast and rocky intertidal habitat. Gorgeously rugged black agate forms the foundation of this necklace. Black turban snails hand-wrapped with copper wire dangle on gunmetal plate chain. The necklace length is adjustable with a beautiful handcrafted chain of agate and gunmetal plate ending in a happy little antiqued silver plate clam.
The intertidal zone is the stretch of shore between high tide and low tide. It’s a fascinating habitat in all of its forms, home to a large variety of specially adapted animals. In rocky stretches, tiny pools can be found all over as the tide recedes. These tide pools offer sanctuary to the less hardy critters until the tide returns. Black turban snails are common in these stretches, well-adapted to life both in and out of the pools.
