Description
Two delicate snail shells together forever in copper wire spiral cages. These snails are Batillaria zonalis, also known as Japanese False Cerith Snail (though a different species than the one invasive to North America). They live on sandy shores and shallow sea bottoms in the Northwest Pacific (Japan, Russia, etc), where they’re very common. The shells are a beautiful striped chocolate colour.
Please note that as a natural, biological material the shells may have imperfections, nicks, or cracks. They’ve been through a lot in their lifetime.
