A simple and elegant pendant necklace featuring a light petrified wood focal on an 18″ silver-plated box chain with a lobster clasp. With a narrow pendant and delicate 1mm box chain, this is a more subtle, understated version of the Ancient Forest line.

Petrified wood is a particular form of fossilized wood. As is generally the case with fossil formation, the organic material (wood) has been mineralized, forming stone. Because of complexities in the process specific to petrified wood, the 3D cellular structure of the wood is often retained. This is what leads to the gorgeous wood detail associated with petrified wood!
